I've once again totally blown my gun budget and need to move at least one...

Given I have loaded up on rimfire rifles...a rimfire rifle will hit the block.

I got this rifle unfired from a collector. It appeared unfired to me.

I have put about 100 rounds through it at the range to get the Skinner peep on paper. Of course, I have the factory box and factory rear sight (they are both in A/C storage in MO as we are selling our house and most of our stuff is out of Texas).

I was thinking this would become my retirement squirrel hunter, but closing in on 64 and my eyes are not cutting it for head-shooting squirrels with a peep and I won't scope a rifle like this...just does not seem right to me.

I looked at the last four closed deals on GunBroker when I was putting this ad together (nearly a month ago!) and they were kinda all over the map: $2,625; $1,895; $1,550 and $1,950.

I believe my rifle is as clean/valuable as any of them, if not more so. But I also think that $2,625 deal is suspect. It seems too far out of whack.

The average of the other three sales is $1,798.

I will offer this rifle here for $1,600 OBO, with both sights, FTF. If I have to ship, actual shipping charges apply. Rifle is currently in Houston, TX but will be in southern Missouri in the next month or so, as we are moving.

Unique grain in the walnut. Looks like an Indian arrow head going into the base of the checkering on the stock. You could lay that rifle besides a thousand just like it & immediately distinguish it! GLWS

What a nice piece. By any chance did you have to install a taller front sight with that Skinner? Think I had to on my 39A.

I am having to install a taller front sight on my M71, after putting on a Skinner bolt peep though.

Yes. It is in a box, with the rest of my loading room (one box of probably 40) in a storage unit in Springfield, MO.

I just sold my house in Houston and moved to Springfield...so still in transition. The rifle is now in Springfield, MO.
