I recently bought a rifle with a herters recoil eliminator on it, it seems to have 28TPI but the threads measure .532 on the outside . Is there some sort of tap that i would be able to make a thread protector with? or is this a inside threading job for a lathe? Don

May have to single point a theard protector on a lathe

I guess thats the thing to do, or find another Herters Recoil eliminator shorten it and turn the diameter down make a protector out of it. Don
