Will this work on a 77/22 hornet? The hornet has a longer magazine as does the 22 WMR. I believe the OP needs to clarify which 22 it is for.

it works with 22lr or magnum, just not the hornet. The difference is in the magwell metal, but it will NOT work with the hornet. The long rifle and the magnum metal length changes.

As you can see, the wood is the same, the trigger guard is longer on the 22lr and shorter on the 22 mag,17hmr

Not to hijack your thread, but the stock can be easily altered to fit a hornet, 77/357 or 77/44 I have a 77/357 fitted to a boat paddle stock from a 77/22 mag
