This is a bolt on application, stock is fully finished, checkered and inletted. This is a FACTORY stock (pad says remington in large letters) that was discontinued by remington approx 19 years ago, they are beautiful, and almost completely unobtainable.

Barrel channel was listed as magnum contour when I purchased it long ago, that would result in slight free float in standard calibers, at least the original 22 inch length ones. But I have never put it on a barreled action to check either way.
