I used to shoot Contender pistols years ago and am getting the itch to do that again. Anybody have one they'd consider parting with? The 7x30 Waters I had was a dandy and I'd love to find another one, or something similar like a 30-30 that'd work for some deer hunting. Chambering isn't a big deal as I can always add barrels down the road...

Thanks all for the responses and PMs. I may need to rethink cartridge choice on this for the time being and limit that to something I already load for. 7-30 Waters and 30-30 look to be problematic for sourcing brass.

Well, looks like I'll be piecing one together. E A Brown had a 6.5 BRM 14" barrel and some formed brass in stock with dies being a special order item. After some research on that cartridge, I pulled the trigger. Back in the day, along with my 7-30 barrel, I also had a 375 JDJ barrel and wanted to add a 6.5 JDJ. This sounds like it will be very similar and with current shortages of components for 'standard' rounds, a wildcat may not be a bad thing. Now I'm looking for a frame and stock set...
