Anyone have one of the new LCP's in 22 LR?
If so, how do you like it?
I have defensive handguns, but one of these might be nice to have in my pocket around the house.
Thanks for any feedback.

Mine is reliable (w/the right Ammo) & shoots a bit over the fixed sights. I like it! Disappears in a pocket.
Like most semi-autos, there is some trouble with some budget bulk pack stuff & not with others. And like most semi-autos, it likes cci mini mag best.

We like ours. We do get an occasional “fail to feed”, which seems to be a magazine issue that many are cursed with. Ruger will replace the faulty magazine. My only complaint was the sights in low light conditions (what do ya expect with this type of handgun) which I remedied with some model airplane epoxy paint!
Overall.....like it! memtb

Wife has one. I've found it to be finicky. It's not a target pistol, but is light, and hides easily. For my uses, this Ruger has been outstanding!

Virgil B. Why would you prefer it over one in 380?

I have the .380, but have read about feed problems in reviews for the 22. I'm with rockinbar, I'll stick with a 22/45 for a semi .22

Virgil B. Why would you prefer it over one in 380? A high volume practice platform for the 380 version ?? Just a thought. But I might not practice with my 3AT like I should.

Have owned an LCP in 380 and several other 380's but want a light little 22LR "just because"
I think I'm looking for an excuse to buy a new Pistol. (GRIN!)
I own three 9's that I rotate as carry guns, plus a Colt 38 Special that's a "NY reload".
I've got a Ruger MK 4 Lite that's a great 22 plinker but it's too big for pocket carry.
Thanks! Virgil B.

In that case, an LCP22 is a great "just because" excuse gun. Just be sure that it doesn't have any of the mag/feed issues that some have mentioned.

I see it more as a “kit gun”.

I wish that little LCP 22 had better sights, something along the lines of the new LCP 380 Max.
I'd really like to see Glock make a 22 based on the Glock 42 or 43 frame

I bought my LCP .22 to be used more as a “Kit Gun” I throw it in my hunting pack when I’m out deer hunting. Mine had been Uber Accurate and amazingly accurate, given its small size. And I don’t shoot any of the cheap bulk Round Remington “Golden” ammo in it. Just the good stuff like CCI.

To me, The idea of Glock making a 22LR on the 42-43 frame, would be the ideal small 22LR auto.
I've got a Glock 44 to go with my Glock 19 and it's a great trainer.
I'm hoping for the smaller one in the future. Seems reasonable to me.

I have a LCP 22. No feed issues here. I just like to shoot it because of the cheap practice compared to the .380.
