Just bought a Marlin MXLR in .308 Marlin Express and need to put a scope on it. I do not want an objective larger than 42mm. I have been thinking about giving a Leupold 6x42 another chance if I can get it with a #4 reticle. I have looked at the Skinner 1-6 30mm scope but don’t k ow a lot about it. Then again there is always one of the 3-9x40mm variables by Burris, Leupold etc. Any suggestions?

VX-3HD 2.5-8x36 or Optika6 1-6x24 SFP would be the first scopes I’d look at.

Thought I would give Burris a try and went with Doug’s deal for the Fullfield II 3-9x40. I could always put a spare Leupold 4.5-14x40 on it but it seems a little big

Just looked at that deal on the Burris Doug has and even better it will be a Ballistic Plex coming your way! Cross-hairs a lil thicker than I like but hell of a scope for a great price.
