Poor guy was an awful lush who dies way too young, but I absolutely loved his writings, even the gossip columns in the NYC newspapers way back a long time ago. He was very honest about who he was.
The African stuff showed a real admiration for the country and the people he met, not to mention the thrill and repect for hunters and hunting throughout the world.
