I have a few hundred Hornady 6.5mm 140 gr. RN bullets I bought for my 6.5x55. From what I gather, they were discontinued 10+ years ago. The couple I’ve shot in my rifle provided great accuracy (sub .5 MOA) I was just curious if anyone had any experience with them afield.

Here in VA when I hunt, 200 yds is a long shot, so the RN, and effect on BC doesn’t concern me.

Thanks in advance!

I know it isn't what you asked but I have shot the Hornady RN in both a 7x57 (154gr) and a 260 Rem (160gr) with good success on deer. Never had an issue most shots 50 yards an under and resulted in dead deer. Same as you here in Maine where I hunt 200 yards would be about as far as you could ever shoot.
