Happy new year everyone. I am going to focus this year on finding some nice shooter 99’s. I like shooting them much more than looking at them in the safe…. I think 🤔

New guy here since September, but been lurking a while before I signed up.
My Savage activity for the year was picking up another EG .300 back in March, and sending my first EG .300 into McGowen back in August for a rebarrel to .250. That should be getting finished and back to me just about anytime now.

Still learning about 99’s from you gentlemen, bought a couple last year, a 32-40 made in 1908, another F 358 made 56. I really like 358’s. I’m thinking about selling the Kleinguenthers I have to get a few more 99’s, but ain’t made up my mind yet.
Happy new year to you all.

Happy Holidays to everyone. This is usually the first site I check every day,and you all have provided a wealth of information that has led to my not so abundant wealth! I think in the last year at least a dozen Savages have arrived home. I was able to stroke a few off my long list though, a 24V 22H/20ga, 1899/1916 .22hp H, 35' H 250/V3-2, 40' 303EG chkrd/57sa, 53' 300R, 14Classic nib 250, and several more plus other makes. Christmas eve stopped at a small GS that usually has a dozen on the rack, had an awesome Rem 722/300Sav with a K2.5 and 2 boxes 180gr ammo for $650c so I sang Xmas carols all the way home. Hope you are all warm as up here, 85 miles North of Warroad/Minnesota line, with the slight breeze it is -45 at 11:30am and been close to this all week. Bob
PS.- Staying inside and warm, found a set of 22HP dies and 20 boxes of .228 bullets on the internet- but Dang $65c a box! Only bought 2.

Happy new year everyone. Last year was the first year in a long time I didn’t get to shoot a 99. Looking forward to making up for that this year…..

I have been mostly lurking on this forum since stumbling onto it shortly before the Wellsboro festivities several years ago. Enjoyed Wellsboro, but have not yet made it to Noxen. Perhaps this is the year. Several years ago I promised my SIL he could have my 243 Savage 99CD & will send it to him shortly. That leaves me without a Savage, so I am hoping there will be a few enablers at Noxen to point me in the right direction for another Savage. Wishing you all a great 2022. -Jim

Still enjoying the site, visit most days. Enjoying my few Savage 1920/26s and learning from the gun gurus.

Present and accounted for. Only added a couple in 2021, but very mappings with both. An 1899B 30-30 with the elusive 30” barrel and a CD in 250 Savage.
