Things they are a cooling off. I spent almost as much time cleaning ice out of my rod guides as I did fishing. It was all worth it though. I was lucky enough to catch quite a few rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and a fair number of tiger trout. I'm totally obsessed with tiger trout. They don't act like most trout and I find catching them both challenging and fun.
Is it Friday yet?

38 degrees and spitting tiny raindrops the other day (1 week ago) on the lake near Quake. A breeze would come up and just about drive me off the lake... then the sun would pop out, the water would go still and I would convince myself to fish just a little longer!!!
The Rainbows were brilliant but their bellies were starting to darken up. Got a couple of lake Browns that were pretty as well.
What a beautiful day it was to be by one's self with the trout!

I see more tigers elsewhere also and fished those places too. However I move all around that lake hoping find some that others overlook. Sometimes it works and sometimes all I get for my effort is a bunch of rainbows and cutthroats. Still fun but not as fun as the tigers. At least not for me.
