If what we read about the military lately, is true, I would imagine the big signing bonuses will mainly go to those MOS's concerning gender re assignment counseling.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

i was a one termer in the 80's. my SRB was 500 bucks and i had a highly sought after skill. i did not reenlist and more than doubled my pay when i got out. 40-50k is a nice bonus.
My diploma is a DD214

I got some pretty nice bonuses during my time. $70k+ more than once. enlisted or commissioned? I was commissioned. Naval Aviation, but we had several enlisted rates that were getting $60k-$75k bonuses. matter of fact they would wait to take their re-enlistment bonuses until we were deployed to a tax free zone so they wouldn't pay tax on that $75K. then we would have a mass re-enlistment ceremony where they all got their checks. This was a 99-03 squadron tour.
