Did Browning ever put a pachmayr recoil pad on the BLR model 81? I thought they were all a soild recoil pad that was black?

My BLR 81 .308 has a solid black pad that is pretty dang hard with very little cushion.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Yea that is what my other Blr has also. Looking at one in 358 it has a pachmayr recoil pad on it and it says Browning across the back of the recoil pad and the guy that has the gun said it is the factory recoil pad. Just wondering if anyone here may be able to let me know if it is factory.

My BLR 81 in 30-06 has a black pad about as soft as truck tire

My BLR has a pachmeyer pad on it with the Browning logo also. Only issue I have had with it was the 9 lb trigger it came with. Took it to Neil Jones and it is a sweet 3 lbs now. Great rifle.
Life is too short to hunt with ugly guns.
