17 and sunny when I got up, got nicer as the day went, wound up short sleeve weather. I built a Ballast Box for my John Deere X540 out of an old desk safe. I had fun. Love building stuff out of stuff. Got every thing free, the JD version is $302 and lighter made.

9*, no wind, feels like 9*. Waiting for the sun to come up so I can throw a cord of Cherry on the trailer. A retired guy's work is never done. 45 minutes north west of Gary.

We just came off the two coldest days of 2022 so far here. It was -2° Tuesday morning and -12° yesterday. On a big upward bounce into the 30s today, but it's supposed to be back down to single digits tomorrow night.
Cold front was very good for the ice, but the fishing was really slow yesterday.

+27* F at 0648 this AM in N. Central Iowa. That's a PLUS 50 degrees from the -27 we had Wed AM at this time. Gonna take the Savage 14 .223 out the door in a couple and roam the country side for any coyote that wants to get in the Leupold crosshairs.

Freezing fog in the mornings, sunny and cool in the afternoons last few days. Kinda sucks cause I threw myself off the porch a few days ago and scraped the schit outa my knee and am stuck wearing shorts right now so as not to irritate my bobo. Thankfully the excavator has heat. Rain next week.
