got plenty of firepower and a couple new ones in progress, gonna match & + the $1200 and get me one of these, been eyeballing March scopes for a few years but was 100% happy with my Nightforce ATACR scopes although not a fan of the FFP for hunting , SFP allows more target visibility way out were Shrek went 120 moa of elevation , hells yeah ! ...

Bit more but have been trying to talk myself out of getting a CA messa (LH) in 6.5 PRC. Don't listen to that voice. Got a mesa in 6.5 cm right around the 1st of the year. Still in barrel breakin period as a matter of fact just got back from the range with a max load of Nosler RDF and Hodgden 4350 3 shots just a tad over .5 moa. I'm sure if I hadn't dottled I would have got that .5 moa. Beautiful rifles, fit and finish really good. Bolt feels likes its on ice, super slick. Trigger tech triggers really nice crisp break. Muzzle brake is seemless. Very happy with it. If you shop around you probably find one close to 1200.

I'd probably put the $1200 towards a thermal optic.

$954 shipped https://www.eurooptic.com/Kimber-3000796-Kimber-84L-Hunter-280-Ack-Imp--MPN-3000796.aspxI have one of these. It is more accurate for the weight and power, than anything I can build in my shop* for 3X the price in parts. * Buying used pre 64 Win M70 actions or used Rem 700 actions, or new Defiance actions, threading and chambering new premium custom barrels, and new McMillian stocks.

I posted (here) a while ago buddy asks what should I buy for a PA deer rifle go a ton of good ideas
My friend wound up pretty much where we started but the thread did move him to 308 for sure
Today he bought a Belgara B 14 hunter in 308 810 plus tax he bought some of the Norma 308 150s PSA had on sale we are going to get him some good rings and he is not a scope snob so probably a Burris 3x 9 by 40 with a 30MMtube
he will have some change left over for a couple tags this fall and I think he will be pretty well set

Ruger SS Hawkeye FTW Hunter in .375 Ruger. Have plenty of other rifles for less than the bigger critters.

I can agree it's not a Manner's or McMillan. It's not a "Plastawarp either" . It is carbon fiber/ fiberglass that is pillar bedded and floated. Far superior then the Tupperware junk that comes on many now days.

This? https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...ton-model-700-243-composite#Post16878189Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I've been really interested in finding a 7mm-08 version of either a Hell's Canyon or Bergara Premier Mountain 1.0.

After he passed I gave my 12 year old son the pick of which rifle he wanted from his pop pop and he instantly picked the Mesa. That rifle is a shooter and a pleasure to carry. I liked the rifle so much when Sportsman’s had them on sale for $1,049 back in December that I ordered one for myself. Haven’t shot the new one yet but will try to break it in shortly and then will start working up some loads. My sons rifle really like the 120gr Nosler BT’s and that bullet is a hammer on whitetails.
