Is this the biggest protest in Canada's history?

Someone in the news media will be able to put a number on it within a few days.

In 1919, 30,000 people walked off the job. This is the Winnipeg general strike.

wabigoon;
Good afternoon to you my friend, I hope the day's been a good one for you so far.

It's hard to say how many people are there and please forgive me for saying it, but I wouldn't believe anything most of the media or especially the government would tell me.

If one digs around the Rumble sight a bit and look into Rebel media, they're showing folks of all colors from all walks of life.

I can't describe how much it moved me to see all the French speaking people there too wabigoon. You could push me over with a feather right now still actually - still processing that bit.

Here's another link from Rumble - I'm not sure how it's work but we'll see.

https://rumble.com/vtkm05-youre-not...m-truckers-ezra-levant-on-parliamen.html

I see we'll need to get Rick to put in a rumble link perhaps?

All the best to you wabigoon.

Dwayne

Thanks Dwayne for the link above, there was a livestream for awhile, but they were having tech trouble.
Funny how all the politicians are scared to show full support and as far as I am concerned if you walk the fence then your a turncoat, but that is just me LOL. I wasted my party donations lol. laugh

Hello again, Richard. People are coming and going. The police will have traffic and walking numbers. They have restricted motor traffic, as well as those on foot. It will be like an exhibition, with total attendance announced at the end. Some people wont get to Parliament, but may stage elsewhere.

There are fixers located strategically in and around the grounds. In addition to uniformed officers walking the area, there are plainclothes in the crowd, as well as other areas adjacent to the protest, and around town generally.

It is expected that as the event goes on, there will be an increased chance of trouble.

Ottawa has had protests before, and we had a death in 2014. Cpl Nathan Cirillo was on duty at the Ottawa Memorial when he was shot. With the Jan 6th event from last year in Washington, and intel from various police agencies across the country, those in charge of keeping the peace are doing the best they can. Tonight will be concerning, as will the days ahead.

My concern would be government provocateurs stirring up trouble. Wouldn't be the 1st time.

What is the temperature there? It takes real determination to be outside when deep cold sets in.

My feeling is "We are all Canadian tonight".

I just read the metrosexual is in hiding.

As of 1845, it is -14 Celsius or 7 Fahrenheit. The weather folks say the overnight low will be -28 or -18 F. Chilly to be outside tonight.

Ottawa weather: Extremely cold temperatures return for the final weekend of January
- CTV News

The final weekend of an extremely cold January will begin with another round of extreme cold temperatures gripping Ottawa.

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Ottawa, the sixth cold temperature warning for the capital this month.

The low of -28C will challenge the record for coldest Jan. 29 in Ottawa history, which is -28.9C set back in 1952.

"A period of very cold wind chills is expected," said Environment Canada, adding the wind chill will make it feel like minus 35 degrees.

Ottawa Public Health has also issued a frostbite warning, saying expose skin can freeze in less than 10 minutes.

The forecast calls for a clear night with a low of -28C. With the wind chill, it will feel like -36.

There will be lots of sunshine this weekend, but it will be bitterly cold on Saturday. Expect sunny skies and a high of -14 C tomorrow, but it will feel more like -37 C in the morning with the wind chill and more like -22 C in the afternoon. There will be a risk of frostbite tomorrow.

It will be sunny with a high of -10 C on Sunday.

The normal temperatures for this time of a year are a high of -6C and a low of -15C.

Good afternoon sir, I hope the day's been a good one for you.

Here's video from Ottawa this afternoon, there's a bunch of people there.

Get this though, here's Prince George...

While I was out of the loop on local stuff, our daughter said the highway coming into town was plugged by vehicles, many of them flying the Maple Leaf.

Who woulda thought, eh?

Thanks for the video's Dwayne, Prince George? lol....way to go Canada!.

In other news, it looks like the angle the Liberals and media are taking is to attack Erin O'Toole and the Conservatives, not sure if there is the division that they say or if they blew it up, we will see in a few days.
I can't wait to hear Trudeau address the issue LOL.

Update for the day.

Somehow, we made it all the way to right in front of the National war memorial where I think we will be camping for the night. People are so excited for us to be here and the turn out and support is unreal. I just got back from a walk around and I have now seen fireworks while standing at parliament. This feels like the greatest Canada celebration ever.

I’m excited and proud to be here. Let’s keep it going everyone!

Nashville;
Good evening to you sir, thanks again both for the update and the effort.

I'm not sure if you all know this, but you're part of something that's really and truly something.

Another video from across the country.

Pretty wild isn't it?

All the best.

Nashville,

Thank you for what you’ve done, and thank you for the updates. It’s been encouraging to see the support for the convoy, countrywide.

I spoke with an old childhood friend today, who lives in Ottawa. She was beside herself with happiness. Said today- people coming together, smiling and laughing- was one of the most beautiful things she’s ever seen. Hopefully this is the start of change for the better.

I was thinking Trudeau could easily come out now and say,,, see, see how unifying I am?? LOL

Anyways....like I said before, the last thing Trudeau and friends want to see is a unified Country.
