Three launches in the nest week, starting today.

SpaceX is targeting Thursday, January 27 for launch of the COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation FM2 mission to low Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous launch window is at 6:11 p.m. EST, and a back up opportunity is available on Friday, January 28 with the same window. Watch it HERE

The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission previously supported the launch of Arabsat-6A and STP-2. After stage separation, Falcon 9 will return to Earth and land on Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. One half of the fairings supporting this mission previously supported Transporter-1, Transporter-2, and one Starlink mission, and the other half previously supported SAOCOM 1B, Transporter-2, and one Starlink mission.

On January 29th at 3:00 PM EST, they'll launch another batch of Starlink satellites from the Cape. More details to come.

Finally, from Vandenberg California on Feb 2, they'll launch the NROL-87 classified satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office at 8:37 AM Pacific (11:37 AM EST)

Hey Rocky, is anyone using the Space Port in New Mexico?

Launch now delayed until Friday due to poor weather.

Tater, sorry I didn't see your question until now. Let me research that.

Tater, there are apparently a few start-up wannabe launch companies at Spaceport America, and that's where Virgin Galactic bases their winged suborbital passenger rocket plane owned by Richard Branson. So far, it isn't exactly bustling.

They are fueling the rocket, so apparently weather is good for tonight's try. Webcast is up.

This is another near-polar launch from the Cape, flying right down the coast and with the booster returning to touch down on a land pad.

Slip Slidin' away...

Continuing weather issues at the Cape have forced SpaceX to slip the Italian satellite launch to Sunday, which in turn bumps their Starlink launch to Monday, and the west coast launch to Wednesday.

Weather is 90% favorable for the launch today and tomorrow from the Cape. Watch today's launch HERE starting just before 6 pm Eastern. Liftoff is set for 6:11 pm.

Scrubbed because of a F%$#@*^ing cruise ship in the danger zone. Next try tomorrow. This will obviously slide the other two launches as well.

I hope that damn cruise ship captain gets billed for delaying not one but three launches.

Fifth time the charm? They are fueling for today's attempt, still set for 6:11 pm Eastern. Webcast about to come up.

Spectacular launch and land touchdown.

Their next Starlink launch is still set for tomorrow, also from the Cape. There are two possible T-0 times for this one: at 1:56 pm or at 5:13 pm Eastern. I'll post which one they choose to attempt.

Then, they plan a classified spysat launch from California on Wednesday. More details to follow. Currently set for 12:18 pm Pacific (3:18 pm Est).

The southern vector launches go right over my house here in Southeast FL. What a great launch tonight. Clear skies and perfect sun angle. Could clearly see the first stage separate, flip, and head back to the Cape, while the second stage continued southbound.

That would be a treat to watch. Might have to put that on the bucket list.

Seeing a launch live ought to be on everybody's bucket list. There truly is nothing like it.

Both SpaceX's next two launches are now set for Wednesday, about 90 minutes apart. The spysat boost from California is set for 12:18 Pacific ( 3:18 pm Eastern) and the Starlink launch from Florida is now set for 4:51 pm Eastern.

The NROL spysat launch from California is still on for today, as listed above. It will feature a booster touchdown on land.

The Starlink launch has been shifted to Thursday at 1:13 pm EST. Watch both of them HERE
