I don't agree with Hershey's action, but a company can require its employees to do a lot of things. They can require you to wear a Boston red Sox ball cap to work. They can require you to park two blocks away, and yes, they can require you to be vaccinated.
People can try and sue. Our judicial system allows people to bring lawsuits for all kinds of things. But they ain't gonna win. They should take their time and money and try to find another job because they don't stand a chance. You can remove a ball cap. You can’t remove a jab. I think this is the main sticking point. As part of employment, a company can require certain criteria, policies and such, but if you leave said company, you leave that behind. The jab is forever. Clyde

Do we need “don’t ask, don’t tell” for the jab?

My problem is that I can't boycott Hershey, the NFL, or basketball. I did send an email to Steve Hornady expressing my disappointment in a company I had a lot of respect for previously. I am absolutely not sending the NRA any money until Wayne is gone and the whole outfit is reorganized.

Note to Hershey: I like your chocolate but I’ll avoid it now. You’re on the wrong side of this issue.

I just left a comment at their website telling them I am a former customer, unless they change this policy.

I just left a comment at their website telling them I am a former customer, unless they change this policy. I’m sure they care and will miss the “occasional” $1.50 you spent on one of their many products. Kinda like yeti, Nike, Carhart, etc. TFF! Old guy boycott’s do nothing. I see most all of you gave up on the old guy boycott of the NFL. LOL

I have always liked Hershey’s syrup on ice cream or for making milkshakes. But it’ll be storebrands from here on out.
Remember pouring it from a can after running the hand crank on the ice cream maker when I was a kid. Damn I forgot about the cans. I don’t eat chocolate ever so could care less about Hershey.

The policy was probably put into place by some hysterical, white, middle aged ,overweight, white woman. That's who is making our company's covid policies.
At first we had to wear masks. Then you only had to wear masks if you weren't vaccinated. Then you had to get the vax to keep your job. Then you had to wear a mask even if you were vaccinated. Then the cloth masks were banned for surgical masks. Then we were told surgical masks didn't work either, so we had to wear N95. Then they said you didn't need to wear N95 anymore, you could go back to the surgical mask that was determined to not work a month prior, but no cloth masks. Then we just got an email that we don't need to wear a mask if you sit alone in an unshared space...

I thought the supreme court just ruled private companies cannot force the shot on you? Apparently, those rules are for people without much money. Like Hunter Bidens gun/laptop/drug use, pedophilia, etc...

Clyde No ethical lawyer I've talked to would take the case. It would be stealing money from the fired employees. If it is that ppen and shut, why is Hershey offering 2 months wages to as incentive to sign a way their rights to talk about it and to sue? Sure, court costs money. Hershey has lawyers on staff. Certainly they wrote the documents. If it was so open and shut that an ethical lawyer wouldn't touch it, It would be a slam dunk. Much cheaper than paying to sign. This sets precedent, are they going to offer that to workers when they go after them? The firing of one group and not others complicates things also. I'm not in favor of total right to work, no questions ask. Opposite, but the same as very strong unions. Whoever holds the most power, abuses it to their benefit or agenda. Dam shame people cant just go to work and do their jobs well. And companies can't take good care of their good workers. Fairly. Both, understanding it's a mutually beneficial business arrangement. With each depending on the other, while understanding that they in turn owe, and are owed some things. Sorry, I drifted into my "If only people were decent, utopian dreamland".

Whole thing is bait and switch to get folks to take the shot. I don't know what it does but I suspect it diminishes you're innate immune response so that you'll be dependent upon continuing boosters to keep from getting sick every year And my heart tells me they ain't gonna be free. Decline the shot and face unemployment, social discrimination and restriction of basic rights.
