Does the Remington 700 BDL standard long action (30-06) have the same stock inlet as the 700 ultra-mag? In other words will the 30-06 drop into the ultra-mag stock.

Yes a 30-06 would drop into an ultra mag stock. The barrel channel most likely will be a Rem mag contour though. If your 30-06 is a sporter barrel it will be free floated already!

If your magazine box is the box with "bulged" side walls and panel cut-outs, you may have some clearance issues in the stock's magazine well.
