I have one of these in 22 Mag. When I bought it a couple years ago it already had an aftermarket trigger in it and it shoots great. I posted a photo below. I think I paid $750 at the time which was a no-brainer considering the scope it came with.

I’m about to pick up its twin in 22LR. This one is a brown laminate rather than the Grey on my 22Mag. My 22Mag actually has green tones in it.

The 22LR is in good condition. They are asking $700, it comes with rings but no scope. Made in 2003.

I’m wondering if that’s a good price. Are the oem triggers any good as is? My 22Mag trigger has probably spoiled me.

I was concerned about some rough areas on the receiver but my 22 Mag looks the same. The 2nd photo is the 22LR.

If you don't like it as is, Randy at CPC can do magic with them.

Price seems about right so it is all up to you and if you need a .22LR.

Is it a good price? These should answer your question -

I had one of these a few years back and the factory trigger was pretty good. It shot W-W PowerPoints into 1/2” at 50 yards.

I’ve installed the Volquartsen Target Sear into a few others and they’ve worked well.

Buy it and you can always flip it for a profit if it doesn’t meet expectations.

The factory trigger is easily tweaked, takes about the same time as fitting the safety pad after installing the Timney sear. Haven’t tried the Volquartsen.

While I really like the Rugers, I’ve moved on to CZs and think the 457 is the currently the best buy in rimfire bolt guns if you want walnut, not synthetic. Hoping for SS someday.

Any factory 77/22 trigger can be rendered superb with no money spent: with a smidhen of polishing. Even the trigger spring can be compressed with a pair of pliers till bottomed out a dozen times.

5 minutes later........2.5-3.5 lbs and crisp as a fall day in Alaska.

i put a dayton traister trigger in one of mine and it made a big difference. i also have two others with stock triggers that take a lot more care to shoot good groups but will if i take my time.
