HAD a few... if you want nostalgia... build it. Last one was a AI in a 1-8 barrel... was ok... I now use a .22 Creed...1-7 with a Rem Age barrel....88 ELD... H-1000.....Far Far superior.....

'retzs,

The Swift is a 15# pair of boots that leak, have no ankle support,no tread and pulled eyelets. Apparently Crying Karens swoon same and I'll happily hand out slack on the rope,to hear their HILARIOUS "justifications". Hint.(grin)

Connecting mechanical dots is easy for the astute,if only because Facts/Physics play nicely together. The "trade-offs" are none and that fhuqks with Pointy Heads, which never ain't not fhuqking HILARIOUS. Hint.

Not that .291 BC's ain't "Awesome"to The Google Gals and Long Action 22 Centerfires equally so. Hint. Fhuqking LAUGHING!

Bless their hearts for TRYING though.

Hint.

Fhuqking LAUGHING!.................

So afte thinking about it... nostalgic feel was what I wanted so that's what I went for. 1974 Ruger Model 77 in 220 Swift. Cheaper than a build and I can use it for its intended purpose and always flip it if I decide to.

Guess this thread now belongs in "hunting rifles"

No idea what your posts say. Your arrogant ass has been on ignore for a while. Little positive has ever come from a post you made....hint.....laffin...

No everyone is like you or wants to shoot the way you do, or values what you do..

Bottom line... gfys... do me a favor and don't waste your time on threads I start. You're nothing but an egotistical blowhard.

Sweetheart,

The one thing for SURE about you Window Licking Crying Karens,is that when it's all said and done, there is going to have been a fhuqk of a LOT more said, than done. No need to reiterate that obvious...you "lucky" kchunt. Hint. Congratulations?!?

Facts ain't subjective,if only to your Brokedick Chagrin. Pardon my being afforded the luxuries,of not being forced to guess,as you feverishly scramble to attain your FIRST Fhuqking Clue. I'm simply the guy who shoots it all and then some, despite your VERY Tender Feelers. Read that again. Now one more time. Hint.

I'm VERY fhuqking "surprised" that Imaginary Pretend Ignore,is your Trump Card,as you quantify how Imitation is THE most Sincere form of Flattery. Hint.

The shooting world abounds with calibers that are not the most efficient, not the most modern thing, not the fastest, not supersonic at 750..........not a lot of things. They exist because someone wanted one. I want a Swift just because it pisses Big Stick off and he can't stop me from owning one.......... grin back bitxch. (Laughing) Get you some. I have a swift on its second barrel. Love it and always have. May not be as pretty as Big Sticks girl, but maybe he won't try to take her at the dance as I am sure he is better looking.

Shooting the Swift in ignorant bliss...........don't even care.

cityjane,

What you CLUELESS Crying Fhuqktards can't fhuqking figure out,is Facts ain't "subjective"...you "lucky" kchunt. Hint. Congratulations?!?

I wish I could Pretend to be "offended" at what Drooling CLUELESS Fhuqktards do,but that ain't how the ball bounces, nor even close. You know what you call a Gal on her 2nd Swift barrel? A sloooowwwww fhuqking "learner". Hint.

For MAXIMUM Kchuntitude, dangle a picture of said Piece Of Steaming Schit and "laude" particulars. You'll wanna' buckle up first. HINT.

I'd only be interested in a Swift if it was given to me or if it was a dirt cheap donor rifle. If I am picking for myself, I would go for a more flexible case design that will fit a 2.82" mag box and grant the ability to also work with longer bullets. I like 7" or 8" twist in a .22 centerfire. Along those same lines, I'd certainly take a 14" twist 6mm Remington on a short action if somebody gifted it to me, but I'd not go looking for one. Kind of reminds me of a guy I knew back in the 90's that was selling a Chevy 3500 dually for cheap. Somebody asked him why he'd list it so low and he said that it was a dually with a 350 and an automatic and who in the hell would want to paint themselves into that corner.

CBB: I currently own and shoot numerous (thirteen) heavy barrel bolt action Rifles in caliber 220 Swift.
I love the caliber and have for over 50 years.
Contrary to what some "armchair shooters" in this thread have tried to convince others of, I have never once had a problem in feeding/function with my 220 Swift repeaters!
PERIOD!
And "I" have run thousands of rounds through them afield and at the range.
Sheesh!
I get excellent to outstanding accuracy from my various heavy barrel 220 Swift Rifles and have as yet to find a 220 Swift Rifle I could not get to shoot at least "well"!
And for brass, if one needs to pursue the ultimate in accuracy I use Norma brass in a couple of my 220 Swift Rifles.
My Remington 40XB-KS (single shot with fiberglass stock and 27 1/4" factory barrel) in 220 Swift with Leupold 6.5x20 variable scope often shoot 1/4" five shot groups at 100 yards with Varmint type quality bullets!
So much for those "armchair shooters" that try to discount the performance, accuracy wise, of this high velocity/performance round.
You are RIGHT to want, and to want to experience, a Rifle in 220 Swift - I have enjoyed using/owning them for over half a century and will continue to do so for as long as I have the strength to do so in my trigger finger.
I have kill't Deer, Antelope, Coyote, Badger, Fox, Rock Chuck, Prairie Dogs, Porcupine, field lions and Ground Squirrels with my Swifts to date - and I usually choose to take a Swift along on sojourns that take me into or through Wolf country.
I say try one you will like it, I am sure - speed kills!
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
P.S.: Ignore everything the village idiot known as "small twig" burps up - he is as useless as tits on a boar!

My swift is by far my favorite rifle. Its easy to load for, pleasant to shoot, never has feed issues and just flat out kills. With 55 grain Hornady SP's It kills with efficiency past its pay grade for sure. I may take mine with me in the casket.

That about sums it up.

I had a flat bolt ruger sporter weight swift as my only centerfire rifle for about 10 years when I first started hunting. It killed well on game big and small but I'd not trade my 1 in 8 twist 22-250 AI for 5 of them now.

They make GREAT Donors and I've rebarreled more than a few to 22-250AI and 243AI. Hint....................(grin)

I don't know why anyone would build a new 220 Swift rifle. But if that's what you want have at it, it'll get the job done. There's just better choices in 22 caliber.
