Custom 280 A! by Dan Coffin: NULA stock, Colt Light Rifle action, Bartlein barrel, Jewell trigger, Kampfield muzzle brake and thread protector. Low round count (definitely under 75).
I traded this off of a member here, he had acquired the rifle on this forum also, from this thread:
https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/15384110/1I thought this was my ideal rifle, but I always just end up grabbing a different one on the way out and never even hunted with this one. A slightly heavier rifle masks some of my bad habits a bit better than these ultralights, and I end up being more confident. I never did a load workup, but it is a shooter for sure.
It comes with 69 pieces of Nosler brass (27 new), 30mm and 1" Talleys, muzzle brake, thread protector, Redding seater die, Lee sizing die, and Hornady sizing die.
I may regret letting this one go, but I have more rifles than we can use, and my son and I would get a lot more use out of a boat. I'd be interested in working out a trade towards a Jon boat in the 1648 size range, a small tiller jet outboard, a Hog Island or Towee skiff, or maybe a j16-ish Carolina skiff.
I am also listing a Barrett Fieldcraft 6.5x55, and I'd be glad to work both into the right boat trade.
Asking $2400
Thanks!
Jonathan
