I don't get it. There seems to be very little internet chit chat about this otherwise popular bullet, on here or elsewhere. Seldom see it even mentioned when somebody asks about a good deer bullet for their .243! Seems kinda weird when you consider it's huge popularity in other calibers. I've got a box on the shelf but I'm pretty much hooked on the 80gr TTSX. Anybody out there have any real life user experience with the 6mm 90gr Accubond?

Be great if they made one in ablr for 6mm would like to see what it'd do in my 6mm Grendel!

Big stick the 30 caliber 180’s have worked perfectly for elk and deer for me the last 20 years. What bullet do you recommend for surviving the Alaskan wilderness?

I have some i'm going to try in my 6mm Remington this fall.

Maybe because 95NBTs are cheaper, have a higher BC and are nearly as tough…

I like the 80 grain TTSX also. Grandkids slay deer and pigs very well with them.

I've killed a few deer with them, out of a .243 Win. Nothing impressive, i much prefer the 105 Amax or 95 BT. Seemed pretty inconsistent, and not worth the price to me. Killed deer fine though, but most everything I've tried has been fine on whitetails.

Had 4 bad experiences with 140s out of a 7 Saum on elk, definitely wouldn't use them on anything large anymore.

They'll kill your deer fine I'm sure, but in my experience, you'll be much better off sticking to your Barnes.

My wife shoots them in her ruger m77 compact. She hasn't shot anything with them yet to see how they perform but they are pretty accurate.

sum it up for me. Load the ttsx for me and the BT for my dad and have never really given any thought to the accubond in that size.

Accubonds have worked Most of the time but i have seen erratic performance or if them. I have quite a few boxes of 140s and have been using everything else around them

Hit right on the nail head. Bought a pile of sps seconds for $14/50 95nbt never seen any accubonds near that cheap...mb

Also, if you have an older Nosler reloading manual, I believe version #3, you'll find material in it that Gail Root who was the current ballistician at Nosler at that time's favorite caliber was the .243 Winchester. He hunted everything with it.

He was given a free hand by Nosler to design the 95 BT as he saw fit and he designed it as an extremely tough bullet for everything he hunted, up to and including elk.

That, combined with the reasonable price makes it the only choice for me in my 6mm Remington rifles.

I loaded up a box of .243 90ABs for a friend of mine. He and his brother killed four deer in a row with four consecutive shots out of that rifle. Two whitetails in MT and two mule deer in AZ. They loved them.
