Yeah, I just listed a house 30 miles away. 8 trips later had it pending. Lots of mileage for 2022. Get a business... look at real estate... or whatever. Sell a load of firewood to grandma for $5... Write off that mileage. https://www.irs.gov/tax-professionals/standard-mileage-rates.And that is about to go WAY UP. If a man in Idaho invited me for a hunt... I would drive there. I would meet with 2 or 3 realtors... look at a piece of land or two (keep the receipts/records of the properties...). Might even make a job application at Boise State for a Professor Position... or a Custodian... don't really matter. -------------------------------------------------------- If Alec Baldwin can make a movie... kill people... and write off $100 million plus on his taxes... so can you.

I do believe the sign at the cheap station had $5.89 a gal for regular, cash while I was in town tonight.
I think I have a couple of errands to run there tomorrow too. Maybe check again, probably be over $6,

Diesel jumped up again overnight from $4.49 to $4.99.
Gas was still $3.99 this AM.

It's $4.29/gal for regular at the 7-11 a couple miles from my house. A week ago it was $3.49. Local truck stop along interstate 81 has diesel priced at $5.15/gal.

Diesel's been around $3.80 in Helena for quite a while. Just made a trip to Lake Havasu and diesel was $4.00 - 4.50 everywhere south of here. It's now over $4.00 here since we got back, so about $.30 increase this week. FJB... Up again - over $4.20 this morning... ...and up again overnight - $4.60 this morning.

Lots of $3.99 gas here today, but I found a station at $3.69. Pump shut off when i hit $100. Station was full of cars when I left. Bet it will also be at $3.99 this week.
My last tank was $3.08, maybe 10-12 days ago.
Now with even more aplomb

Pretty much cancelled our great loop boat trip because of the fuel prices. It's not the price as much as principal, I don't like being screwed by liberals and shysters if I can help it.
