Just FYI. No connections to the seller.

I bid on it. Why not?? Thanks for the link. We'll see how high it goes in 11 days.

Same seller also has a 30-06 84L Montana for auction.

I bid on both. Lol. Knowing I’ll be overtaken soon.

I had a Kimber Montana in 270 WSM. It was the most inaccurate bolt action rifle I ever owned, both before and after I sent it back to Kimber.

So what made you open a thread for 223 Kimber being auctioned off on gunbroker? Lol.

Kimber and Leupold always take a beating on this site. I’ve had tens of both and never had an inaccurate Kimber or a broken Leupold. And yea. I’ve used them.

Not everyone has the ability to shoot a lightweight rifle well.

I was thinking over $2k. Nice guns but my lowly savage LWH 223 serves its purpose for me. One of my favorite rifles is my Montana in 257 though…

Not my experience with the one I owned. Kick myself for selling it.

I sure like mine. Didn't realize they were selling anywhere near that.

Had one in 25-06 that was less than impressive, One in .223 that would shoot would be the perfect truck gun. At the original MSRP, not the crazy prices they are going for now.

I've had Montanas in 300WSM, 7-08 and currently in 257 Roberts. All have shot well.

You are spot on. I have bought 2 Kimber 84s in 308 that supposedly couldn't shoot under 5". Both shot sub moa with with multiple factory loads and with my go to habdload of a 150 Barnes TTSX and 41gr of H4895. And on 3 separate occasions at the range had guys start cussing their Kimber and I shot it sub moa. Most guys don't realize you have to be very consistent with how the rifle is held and shot when shooting ultra light rifles. I went through a painful learning curve with my first Kimber and had to be schooled by a friend on how to shoot them properly.
