I have for sale what i feel is as nice of model 59 that you will see. it has outstanding wood with very few tiny marks, just the smallest amount of wear on the bottom edge of the receiver, 28 in mod barrel. with the fiberglass barrel its a dream to carry for a 12ga. it also comes with an extra forearm. $550 message for more pics. ship on your dime. thank you guys so much. lord bless you all today. jim
The model 59 was the first gun I ever bought in 1964 I was nineteen. At that time it was advertised as the lightest fastest shooting auto on the market. Wish I still had it.

I have this same gun and a 12ga Franchi 48 of the same era, and I'm hard pressed to decide which is my favorite autoloader for chukar hunting. Our birds are wild and far apart, so a LW shotgun is requisite.
The steel chamber being integral with the receiver was a brilliant design, allowing for use of an ultra light barrel and alloy receiver. John Barsness gave me a great deal on it many years ago, making it double special. Thanks, JB!
