I had one bust a flute off on a chamber. They sent me another pretty quickly. I also had them tell me a product was in stock and when I asked what the hang up was on the shipping, they told me it was "in production".
After a couple of months of that status I asked for a refund. They told me there's a 20% "restocking" fee.
3 more months passed by and my ptg order arrived. After that last fiasco I have done zero business with them and intend to keep it that way.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

I laid off for the post 5 years. I ordered a reamer last week. We'll see how they do. Never had a bad reamer but it took them a year to get a throater to me

Anyone that does business with PTG falls into one of two groups. Those that have had a problem, and those who will have a problem. It's simply something that I refuse to take a risk on any longer.

PTG was great until about 2005 or so. Now, you have no idea what you're actually going to get from them. They have gone from my first choice to my last choice.....and I buy a LOT of reamers.

I don't buy many reamers or cutters, or things that PT&G sells anymore. Dave Kiff & Co have yet to realize what customer service is. Their Q.C. has fallen by the wayside as well, IMHO. If, I need a reamer, headspace gage or other firearm related tooling, I call Dave Manson. Never had an issue his products or service.
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

Their customer service sucks, so I've never bought anything from them. Just getting a simple question answered is virtually impossible. Dave Manson all the way- - - -he put a rush on production of a wildcat reamer I ordered since the designer of the round was dying of lung cancer. From me sending him the preliminary drawings to the finished product took less than two months. He gets all my business these days.
