or anything shooting/hunting/fishing related. What shows were there?

And I thought we could all sympathize with the Yugoslavian skier who slid off the ramp in the opening of WWoS.

American Sportsman is the only one that I can recall as well. They had some great episodes, especially when they were all done on film, not video.

One of my favorite episodes was watching Bing Crosby and Phil Harris shooting birds in Africa at a water hole. The interaction between the two was really good.

I don’t remember the name but there was one where they shot clay birds in front of a grid, sort of like a dart board. They got points depending where the clay was relative to the grid.

Bing Crosby along with Phil Harris filmed an episode pheasant hunting in Lancaster County, Pa back when wild birds still dominated in Pa. Phil Harris was carrying Winchester Model 12 in "28 gauge".....a true classic.

"Combat" in the early 60's.

Although that might be stretching the definition of shooting sports a bit...

How about Captain Kirk “phasing” a griz with a recurve?

Jimmy Dean whacking a moose with an iron-sighted .338?

The attempt at reviving the series was a flop. The episode I watched had some sports figure sniping a speed goat over the hood of a truck. Bad Form, legal or not. A pro athlete should be able to haul his ass over a hill to shoot one.

A classic.

Not hunting or shooting, but I always liked the Flying Fisherman, with Gadabout Gaddis.

Only thing I can recall was "American Sportsman" way back in the 60's. Where guys actually went out and shot critters and it seemed a lot more realistic than the crappy hunting shows I rarely watch today. Most of today's shows are actually just infomercials for all the nerds that just have to get the latest, greatest, whiz-bang, high tech hunting gadgets.
