I received an email from Gunbroker about a week ago stating myself or someone changed my email address. I tried logging into my account and got the generic message "incorrect user name or password". I tried to change my password but again got message "email address not recognized in our system". I contacted Gunbroker about my issue and today I got a response stating they were working the issue and I needed to provide to them 2 items with my photo ID on them. Received 2 more notices from Gunbroker stating my items #927688954 and 927690371 did not sell. Somebody is using my login name and address to sell on Gunbroker and have changed my email address making it impossible for me to log into gunbroker.

Happens a lot. They will sell nonexistent guns, collect the money, and disappear, leaving you holding the bag.

TomA: This is just ANOTHER example of why I have never and will never partake of gunbreaker!
I avoid all the pitfalls that are so common on gunbreaker (and similar sites) by buying my guns from folks I know personally or in face to face transactions.
Avoid gunbreaker completely.
I hope this latest gunbreaker scam that has befallen you gets corrected somehow.

Tom, thanks for the information. It reminded me to deal with that potential issue. Sorry you had a problem with them.

This gives me an idea:

When I get a new gun, I'll tell my wife I have no idea where it came from. Someone must have hacked my gunbroker account.

Wonder how long I can get away with it.
