Wow! Beautiful rifle! Does anyone produce factory 6x284 brass?

Just thought I'd chime in and say thanks to all those who have complimented my work! The scoped rifle as it sits without the bi-pod weighs 9.36 lbs, and really balances nice. As for the photography, I can't take any credit for that. That's all my wife's handwork.

Man, that is a seriously good looking rifle. Well done! That spiral fluted barrel is especially nice.

my CZ 527 varmint shoots exactly like that 4 all in a row overlapping and one outside the group that opens it up to .5" otherwise it does 4 shots inside .25, what the hell causes this??

My guess is seating depth issues.. This usually causes two grouping.. It is very easy to get inconsistant seating depth using a regular leverage press.. Measure all of your rounds to the ogive and make sure they are all the same.. Sometimes, just changing seating depth can help.. I'm sure there can be other reasons, hope someone else chimes in..

I was at Karls shop today and got to see your rifle, and let me tell you, you're going to be more than pleased!!
Everybody out there better take notice on Karl's work, it's bar none top notch. He takes no shortcuts and goes the extra mile on every little detail. It's almost ridiculous how much attention to detail he puts in every aspect of the rifles he builds.
I have had rifles built by GAP, LSR (Chris Matthews), HCR (Hill Country Rifles), Mike Bryant, Mickey Coleman, R & D and Gordy Gritters. Also, I have seen work from Holland and Weaver Rifles also.
I know what good work is. Lets just say some of the above names do better work than the others (you know who you are).
Karl's finished product is what every CUSTOM rifle should be when finished...A highly accurate piece of art work !!
On top of it, you won't find a nicer guy than Karl.
I guarantee Karl will be building all of my rifles from here on out, plus I have the bonus of living close by, not so lucky for Karl (grin)!
Thanks for the help today Karl I greatly appreciate it!

Kampfeld:
Since you still have physical possession of the rifle, I'll address this to you. You and .280AI have created a great looking rifle.
Couple of questions. How long is the barrel? With the bipod off and the scope on, how far forward of the trigger is the point of balance? (in inches)
Thanks.

TJM,
The barrel is a 25" and actually a Rock Creek #4. It balances right at the recoil lug, 7" in front of the trigger.
Thanks,
Karl

Hi 280AI,
Superb looking & performing rig. Can you please tell us how the lettering was done? Is it by laser?

JohnT,
The engraving is done on a 4-axis CNC mill with a 1/32 carbide ball end mill. That's my standard Copperplate Gothic font cut after Cerakoting.
