Anyone try or use one of these. Mainly curious about how the glass compares to say a Zeiss v4/6 or a Leupold vx5/6. Don’t really care about the lack of elevation or turrets, just the glass and durability. Can’t find much if any on these other than the typical he said she said. Rep said today they are made in Germany and assembled in the US. I do know they have some affiliation to Burris.

I have a 4-16x50 but I haven't got it mounted on a rifle yet.

Initial impressions are positive as far as build quality

Hopefully my gunsmith will get the rifle done ( twisted off a mounting screw)soon so I can check the scope out

Scott at Liberty optics has some great prices on these

I have no experience with the Predator model, but I do have a Steiner 1-4x24 p4xi that I have used for several years in 3 gun and action rifle competition. It's been a great scope and has been banged around a bit and held up fine, so I think Steiner scopes are pretty tough.

The Steiner Predator 4 and the Ranger 4 are very similar. Different reticles and power availabilities, but other than that... I believe that they are close to one in the same. The Ranger 4 ranked very highly (for it's price point) on an Optics Trade review (https://www.optics-trade.eu/blog/the-ultimate-low-light-riflescope-buying-guide/) focusing primarily upon low light abilities. BobbyTomek on this forum (low light expert) has also spoken highly of the Ranger 4 scopes.

The glass seems to come in slightly above a Zeiss V4 from what I read. This is a good comparison article: (https://rifles-scopes-expert.co.uk/zeiss-conquest-v4-3-12x56-vs-steiner-ranger-3-12x56/). Keep in mind... that was the original Ranger. The Ranger/Predator 4 are supposed to have even better coatings on them.

FYI: I spoke on the phone with a supervisor @ Steiner USA in Colorado. He stated that the Ranger 4 series is made in the US (CO) but ONLY sold in Europe. The Predator 4 series is made in Germany, but ONLY sold in the USA crazy

Predator 4 = Lifetime Heritage Warranty
Ranger 4 = 10 year Warranty

He said that they actually have to have managerial approval to accept Ranger 4's back from US citizens for repair. But he said that usually, it is not an issue.

Hopefully, someone who owns all the scopes that you mentioned can weigh in; but in the meantime.... hope this helps a little

Beretta owns Burris and Steiner. Burris and Steiner have the same physical address in Greeley CO.

Looking at the fov specs they’re the same as the Zeiss diavari scopes. Still it’s so hard to find info on them other than a printed brochure type. Even a small review is hard to find that not an add.
