Weather in Mn has sucked for most of the last two weeks. Turkey opener is next Wed, chance of rain 80%. I hunt them with a bow and looking forward to some decent weather.

how do the turkeys act in snow?
in the unlikely event we get snow during deer season, they dont move.
back in 2017 or so, we had a storm come through, snow stayed on ground for 3 days.
work was shut down because of bad roads.
i figured id do some good hunting, didnt see anything,
guess the snow spooked em

Supposed to head out for SD, WY, and MT on Thursday. Big snow storm coming this week. I would delay about 4 days but my buddy can't alter his schedule. We will see.

I've killed spring gobblers twice with snow on the ground. Once was on Mother's Day back in the 90s. We woke up to 4-5 inches on the ground and my wife (pre-children of our own) decided she would rather sleep in so I went alone. I'll never forget those birds strutting up the ridge with a snowy background.
To answer the question it didn't faze the birds one bit, but man was it cold!
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

27 degrees here last night and the temp got up to 37 degrees this afternoon. Doesn't matter to me, we don't have turkeys up here.
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

May 1st is the opener around here. We've had it snow in May but not very often. Usually not even below freezing during May but there is still a chance of a frost warning right up until the latter part of May. I recall that because I used to wait until late May to set out tomato plants.

I've done a two state (WY, MT) for mulies in the fall and gobblers in the spring with Mike Watkins from Trophies Plus out of Alzada, MT. My guess is you'll be in that same area. Getting your birds shouldn't be much of a problem.
Know fat, know flavor. No fat, no flavor.
I tried going vegan, but then realized it was a big missed steak.
