For sale is a Remington 700 BDL Enhanced Stainless detachable magazine sporter. Shilen hand lapped "Match Select" barrel finished to 23" with a recessed "Bill Hull" crown. .623 muzzle diameter, 1:16" twist, and bead blasted finish. Matt black
Arlon synthetic stock, w/ 3/4" R3 recoil pad. LOP 13-3/16" LOA 42-5/16" 7.2# rifle bare, and 8# with scope. Scope is a Nikon Monarch UCC 1.5 to 4.5 X in Leupold stainless mounts.

OK, I’ve gotta ask, what is “enhanced stainless” and a “bill hull crown”? I punched I will take it in three times but never pushed enter, didn’t know if these things were and spent some time trying to research them and of course in that time somebody jumped on a great deal!

Enhansed Stainless is the term Remington for the stainless BDL with the engraved receiver.

OK, I’ve gotta ask, what is “enhanced stainless”? I believe the OP meant "embellished" with engraving/scrollwork.

Bill Hull was still the shop foreman at Shilen when I had this rifle built. It is similar to more recent crowns that are recessed to protect the rifling on the muzzle. There is a ring on the end of the barrel that is about 3/16" wide and then the recess is around 7 or 8 degrees in angle to the tip of the rifling.
