Can someone please help me identify this old gun that was given to me? The bolt action works properly and has a functional trigger mechanism. I have "NO" idea who made this rifle or it's caliber? Is there and value to it?
That would be my guess or a Chilean 1895. Can't really see the crest or the markings on the left receiver wall. Value? Hard to say but it's been cut down (Bubba'd) so maybe $100-250

Started out as a 7x57. If it's still a 7x57, then I'd shoot it with US factory 7x57 ammo, which would kill an ark full of stuff, but I wouldn't handload it too hot.

Sorta reminds me of my Destroyer Carbines. Same kind of Mauser type action and overall look, but obviously not 9mm Largo chambered. Glad ya got it figured out.
