Even if it becomes an honest site, the ones responsible for lies, propaganda and Marxism will just find a new venue. I'm sure they will because they have too if they want their supporters to stay in the dark. That being said, it would be a positive start for the good guys!

If leftists leave Twitter to go to a left leaning area - all they will do is talk to leftists. They lose access to the center and right on Twitter.
The right gains access to the right and center on Twitter
You'll never convince a leftist - there's no net loss there of the information. You GAIN a voice on the right with Elon's purchase of Twitter - you gain a forum, pre built and populated with millions. It's less about denying the left a place to talk and more about enabling the right equal access.

Even with all its faults and wish-washy coverage at times, the left hates Fox News. Any beacon of disagreement with their view will be persecuted as heretics and heathens. Even though Rush was primarily on AM radio which was considered obsolete by many. It hated too him and looked to pass legislation to censor and ban him.

It's less about denying the left a place to talk and more about enabling the right equal access.
The left can leave all they want but they don't gain anything by doing so. They won't see it that way. The same way they don't see that giving someone preferential treatment due to their race (or other immutable characteristic) will effectively rob some other innocent person of another race of that opportunity for which they may have been more qualified.
