Sold them all over the years and own La-z-Boys. Ditto. I once thought a recliner was a recliner was a recliner. No more. Worth the price in my mind

I will say the La-Z-Boy is the longest lasting recliner I've ever owned. Bought one in '94 and and still is in great shape today.
The only thing I will say about recliners is the primary one I have now is going to be short lived. The leg mechanism works in sync with the back of the chair so in order to have my legs fully extended my back has to be laying almost flat. Its annoying.

I bought a Natuzzi a couple decades ago. Buy once, cry once, but I can take the best fugging naps in that thing!

I don't know. The leather one my wife put in my office is a dandy. Doesn't even look like a recliner.

We just bought 2 of these Flexsteel chairs. They have the same warranty as Lazyboy. They're pricey, to be sure but will last our lifetimes. They're electric with all kinds of adjustments, more than we found on Lazyboys.

My my liberal brother (Keynesian econ degree) was the salesman visiting furniture stores selling them a competitor to Lazy boy. A dissatisfied woman returned to a store again and again making a scene and not willing to take a full refund. This caused the store to only carry Lazy boy.
My conservative brother (machining and welding degree) spends way too much time in his lazy boy watching TV.
Both my brothers are overweight.
I am conservative, bossy know it all, task oriented, nerdy first born (engineering degree). I am not overweight, body mass index 23.2 I have two recliner sections in the sofa, and have never sat in either.

No idea the brand, but Mom bought an electric one, That SOB is like a drug.
I recline it, and I'm gone. Even during a conversation, let me be quiet for 5 minutes, and I'm out.

You will find recliners come in different sizes.
Get one that fits.

Bought my 1st Lazy-Boy in 1993, leather chaise-style. Bought my 2nd Lazy-Boy in 2019, different style, but still leather. Great chairs.
Find a store with a decent selection of floor models to try out, they do come in different styles and sizes. And get leather!
