I have a straight grip Marlin 336. It does not have rubber butt pad or sling swivel stud on the butt stock. One option for getting pad and swivel stud is to replace butt stock with items already installed. Several versions of 1894 (straight grip) have a nice, thin rubber pad.

Does an 1894 stock drop-in fit the 336?
