This is the first rifle to be put up for sale to finance an upcoming trip that exceeds the budget by a lot. There'll be a couple more JM Marlins but sales will be one at a time to avoid confusion.

The serial number begins with 1811 which I believe means this rifle is from the 70's (correct me if I'm wrong). The rifle is in good condition and has only been hunted a couple times in the 20 years or so I've owned it. It doesn't appear to have been fired much. The Marlin bullseye was missing when I bought it and I filled the hole with a wood blend stick about the color of the walnut. It is fuzzy but that's the 4th pic.

This rifle would have been described as 'pristine' by the proprietor of the gunshop I worked at during college. I'm not that blind. There are a new small nicks in the stock and there was a small amount of rust on the bottom of the magazine tube. It would have been overlooked by 90% of my old boss's customers but it was there.

I'm asking $1,100 shipped to your FFL. I'd prefer to sell to a Campfire member who's been here a while and personal checks will be accepted.

I believe a serial number beginning with 18 would be a 1982 model.

Rust?

Yes

The rust is a small area and you'd be hard pressed to see it. Just making full disclosure.
