I'll start this out by saying that I'm not looking for a bunch of comments, and I don't want anyone to get their knickers in a knot, because that'a not what I'm after. So, with that being said, here is my gripe............
I recently found myself needing a 100 more pieces of 30-06 brass to finish up a project I have going. Good clean once fired brass would be perfect, and I bought some from a poster on here. I start prepping the brass, and ended up with 94 pieces of 30-06 and 6 pieces of 270 brass. Now, if I'd bought 500 or a 1000 pieces of brass, I wouldn't have thought a thing about a few pieces that were not what I was wanting, but I would think that it would have been fairly easy to have checked a 100 pieces for the correct headstamp. I always do when I sell some brass, and I guess I thought that everyone else did too.

You aren't wrong. If you bought 100 pieces of 30-06 brass, that's what the seller should have shipped you.

Was the 270 brass resized to 30-06 or was it still sized as 270 brass? Did you contact the seller? If it was me, I’d feel bad for the mixup and send you what you needed at no charge.
For that matter, I’ll send ya 6 pcs of 06 brass if you need it to make up the 100.

So . . he was shorted 6% of his purchase and that's your response. Remember that when you get shorted on something that you paid for next time.
If I talk over you, I apologize. I'm afraid I will lose my train-of-thought.

I’ll be glad to send you 6 pieces of .30-06 brass if you’d like (on my dime)?

Had to look back and make sure that wasn't me that made that mistake. I'd be grumpy as well. If you want, I've got a few floating cases I can send to round out your needs

What did the seller reply to you when you sent him a PM expressing your concern?

I didn't post this because I was mad or needing more brass. Thanks for the offers, but I'm good. I just wanted to make people aware that when they sell something, make sure that you ship what you sell. I know first hand that it's easy to make mistakes. But, at the same time, it doesn't take long to look at the headstamp and make sure you're shipping the correct one.
I didn't contact the person who sold it to me, because I'm not mad about it. I've got a 270, and can use the brass at some point in time. But, I didn't need it, and it wasn't what I was expecting. I just want to bring it to people's attention that you need to be sure you're selling the correct brass.

I'm putting your stupid a$$ on ignore so I don't make the mistake of ever selling you something. You're the type of a$$ hat that probably will not even ship to Alaska

This post is irrelevant and chicken [bleep] if you didn’t contact the seller first.

My experience is that I always end up getting a few extra brass pieces thrown in just for “good measure”

And as usual, the azzhat posters who have never contributed anything but negativity just feel the need to weigh in.

My experience is that I always end up getting a few extra brass pieces thrown in just for “good measure” I try to do this whenever I can. I appreciate the OP posting this. It serves as a good reminder for everyone to slow down and do the right thing. It seems attention to detail is a dying trait these days.
