I just came across the Howa Super Lite online and was wondering if anyone has handled one? Supposed to weigh 4.7 lbs action is in between mini and short action, 20" threaded barrel, m16 extractor, chambered in 6.5 creedmoor or 308. Looks like the price is around $1200. Seems like a nice lightweight rifle for the money. https://www.howausa.com/howa-super-lite/

Wish they'd put the bolt on the other side.
Bore size is no substitute for shot placement and Power is no substitute for bullet performance. 458WIN

I looked at one of these but decided to go with the Christensen Mesa FFT instead only because the Mesa has a stainless barrel/action and the Howa dont and the Stockys Stock on the Howa has a 13.87"LOP which seems a little long to me......Hb

They also make the Carbon Stalker in regular SA and LA, with hinged floorplates instead of DMs. 6lbs 2oz and 6lbs 4oz respectively. I drooled a bit over a .270, but don’t need three.
I’d be interested in the length of that DM on the hybrid action.

Between their DBMs and refusal to sell a stainless rifle, I'll bet Howa sells significantly less rifles than they could otherwise.

They offer a couple in SS, the HS Precision model, but not enough. I suspect the decision was made by the importer, as there seem to be more available elsewhere, Australia for one. Legacy went for Cerakote, a poor substitute IMO.
Weatherby seems to have followed suit.
