I’ve been shooting the 105 scenars in mine. They shoot moa or better. From what I see here, they will do well on game too. May try them this season. The hornady black hpbt shoots great too.

If/when the barrel of my 22-250 is tuckered out, 6 creedmoor drill bit will go into the chamber of the new barrel.

Great shooting RIO7, always enjoy your post !!!

My 6mm CM made it's first trip to the range today. I had PacNor rebarrel a Ruger #1 in 6mm CM. Still waiting on the stock set to come in, but bolted on the old wood set, and took her out. Fired 10 rounds factory Hornady and 15 rounds of a mid level hand loads to test her out. Next trip will be load testing.

TrueGrit, Never have tried Hunter, my reason for working up a load with IMR 4831, was i have a bunch of it, and i'm getting low on H-4350. Rio7

Back when the world was young and Fieldcrafts were new, I ran into a couple online at a shop in AR. One was an 18” TB .243, the other the standard 6CM. Had dies, etc for the .243, but no can plans, and surely didn’t want an 18 without one, so the 6 it was. No real concept of the advantages at the time, so I just got lucky. Since it’s a hunting rifle and pretty pricey for an old man on a fixed income, I’ve been easy on it so as to not wear it out futzing around. Good hunting loads have been very easy to cobble together, mainly with 95gr LRXs, but also NBTs and 115gr Bergers. I bought a couple of boxes of Hornady for a baseline to compare against my handloads, but my stuff has been notably better, with minimal effort.

Always wanted a 6mm Remington and like the .243 just fine, but unless I stumble on some nifty old rifle, I’ll never buy either because the new one has it all in standard factory form. Glad to see it catching on. Sorry to see the Fieldcrafts go away though. Too bad Howa hasn’t picked it up for their new Carbon Stalkers. Maybe someday, but if they do I hope they get the twist right.

The 105 gr. Scenar has been my go to bullet in 6mm, but i have had trouble finding them, when i get a supply i will go back to them, but for now the 105 gr. A-Max will have to work. Rio7

I understood the 105 A-Max was discontinued. Where did you find them?

I picked up more than that pre-Covid from a individual locally. I was so happy then, and that purchase is even more pleasing now.
I use it in my XP's: 6 BR, 6XC, 6-284, and in two of my 6 Creed's.
