Looking for some 22 hornet brass. Bought some once fired and i believe its been multi fired due to splitting necks on first load. Hopefully someone has some new brass they will part with. Thanks!

Makes no sense to me that there’s not brass readily available.. Hornets are popular enough that someone should be producing them more often. Loaded my last 500 new recently - they were a box of 500 from 20 yrs ago, when they were still easy to find.

The hornet brass is thin, I've split quite a few before I started using dry lube on the inside. I also bought a lee collet neck die and haven't split one in quite some time.

I found the same thing, that using dry lube inside made a huge difference. I also go very lightly on the outside lube. Gotta treat those little buggers kindly. I checked and I'm sorry I don't have any new brass to offer.

Mule Deer sold me 300 new cases not long ago, so I’m well-fixed now. Still using some from 20+ years ago, some of which is on its fourth go-round. The Lee collet die is very easy on it. Don’t even own a FL die. I use one of the old hand-held Lee trimmers too, not that it gets much of a workout.
Lil Gun is the magic fairy dust for the Hornet if you want to go easy on the brass. Top load pressures run well below the other choices.
What fresh Hell is this?

My rifle came with plenty of rounds. One of the reasons I bought it. Seems though I'm getting split necks on about half of the cases. Previous owner said some of those cases have many many loads on them so I'm not surprised. Just trying to keep ahead of the game. I do like the dry lube idea though.

I've crushed a fair share in my day trying to seat a flat based bullet. I put a light chamfer to the mouth now which def helps
