The stock on mine is pretty nice grain and I don’t want to cut it down to fit me but is just to long to feel comfortable. Any idea of a replacement stock preferably wood or synthetic? Thanks

I’ve bought Ruger factory stocks from both Ruger and Midway. Never know who’s gonna have what, or have the best price. For a lefty, I’d try Ruger first. The Hawkeye synthetic is solid, and you won’t cry after chopping it.
Also try the parts places.
What fresh Hell is this?

If you want a really good stock, you may be able to get Kevin Weaver at weaver rifles to inlet a AG Composites. He has some in inventory now and may well work on Ruger Hawkeyes. This is not an inexpensive option.

I've owned and liked a lot of different LH actions through the years. But these days I'm pretty well down to Tikka's and 700's due to the fact that you can actually get aftermarket stocks for these without too much hassle.
For the Ruger, Boyds likely offers a stock for it, and they'll cut it to length for you. I have a couple. They seem to be pretty high quality, and their fit and finish is always good to very good. If you don't mind the weight, the laminate makes a nice stock.
