Run .308 brass thru your .338 Fed FL die.
I make .358 Win cases that way.

What they said. I run 06 brass through my 35 Whelen dies and it works just fine as long as you have a tapered expander ball in the die. You’ll likely get better quality 308 brass than you can find 338 federal brass. Another cartridge that should be more popular than what it is.
