I have two Leupold Alaskan scopes for sale. Both are 2 1/2 power, 7/8" diameter versions from the early 1990's. The 2 1/2 power Alaskan scopes, with their straight front tube, don't seem to come up for sale often. I think this is because they look so "right" on many rifles and people simply hang on to them. Both have perfect, scratch-free lenses with Duplex reticles and are crystal clear. They feature nicely blued steel tubes which look right on many "period" rifles such as pre 64 model 70's. I'm especially fond of them on quality 22's and appreciate their razor sharpness at shorter rimfire distances. One is mint and the other nearly so except for a single slight smudge mark on the side of the eyepiece (with the fine thread pitch for focal adjustment, the eyepiece can be easily set with this in the 6:00 position thus being totally invisible).
If needed I have several sets of 7/8" rings; Weavers, Leupolds, Talley and Kimber (Brownell). I even have a NIB set of Leupold's that can be easily modified for Kimber rifles having dovetailed receivers.
The first scope described is $450 and the second $400. Shipping is $14 to the lower 48 states which includes insurance and tracking number. I'm confident you'll be pleased with either as their both such nice compact scopes.
Please PM or call with picture requests, questions or just to chat about classic scopes. These are a wonderful addition to a fine rifle. Ed Lundberg, Colorado Springs, 719-495-6560
