What pellet grills are you guys using? I’m kicking my POS traeger to the trash heap. It’s only about 3 years old and I have replaced the heating element way too many times. I almost lost a couple briskets last night and now I’m pissed. I’m looking at Rec Tec and Green Mountain as well as some other options. What have you guys been using and what results?

I have heard really good things about Camp Chief but don't own one
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I have the small and medium Green Mountain units and use them quite a bit. I've read that recteq is a step up from the others and this one intrigues me: https://www.recteq.com/products/rt-b380-wood-pellet-grill

I have three Recteq's and they are very nice. Much nicer than Traeger's in my opinion.
I have heard Yoder's are the cat's meow and likely what my next one will be.

Depends on budget as anything. No holds barred, Yoder is fantastic but some big $$$. I bought a Louisiana Grills 1100 over 5 years ago as my first foray into pellet cookers as an experiment after cooking for years and years on an offset stick burner and kettle type smokers. That sucker is still going strong today and sees a ton of service! The only issue I have had with it in that time is a faulty computer board which the manufacturer replaced without issue and in very short order.

Had a traeger for 9yrs. Performance started falling of (top temp, temp swings..etc) about 3 years ago. I wound up replacing the guts and board with a kit from smoke daddy. IFIRC the kit was about $300. It’s been good ever since. All that said, when I was looking at pellet grills I considered rectec. Many times I wished I had. But the kit did make the traeger reliable and consistent again.
