McMillan classic stock. Black finish with checkering. Was bedded by redneck for a short magnum (300 Win) with factory barrel but any standard grade should drop in with some light fitting effort. Bedding was done by Redneck.
sorry, my confusion. it has no monte carlo but you could be correct. I am not an expert on mcmillan stocks. irrespective, nice stock for a scoped rifle.

Yes, very nice stock in a hard to come by pattern for pre 64 inlet.

So Stevevan1 didn't buy it 2 months ago? Seems pretty heavy for a Mcmillan. Probably not just standard fill, but maybe magnum fill? Should have a pic showing the barrel channel. Who bedded it does not really matter in this application, since that bedding will need to be taken out and re-done. Just a FYI..

It’s about right bsa. A supergrade pattern in edge will go 28/29 oz; standard fill 33/34, and magnum 38 ish.
That sa R700 compact I have listed is 30.5 oz. and a much trimmer pattern.
I don't think the one I have is that heavy. Definitely not heavier than 32 oz's. A factory fwt stock weighs less than that most times. Also, wondering if he has pics of the barrel channel? A lot of times sellers will shoot a pic of the actual barrel in the stock as well, to give you an idea of gap/freefloat.

Asked about it some time ago, and got a lecture about the differences in pre 64s. What was confusing to me was, initially short magnum, then, 308 fwt. I do know the stock was the same for all, except H&H actions but thats an easy fix. So with my question I was schooled about the rarity of the 300 win, and a 308 standard grade. Course, his buddy Roger Rule had one in 308, and he has one, NIB, in 300. Well, whatever, schitt wasnt making sense to me. For a feller so knowledgeable I was skeptical. Folks can do what they like. But, it was bedded to one rifle so you'll bed it to yours. A standard and fwt pattern barrel are different. Only thing about this I do believe is it is for a standard dog knot barrel.
