I hadn't owned one in about 5 years, but between all you azzholes posting about bikes and scooters lately, and gas eating me alive on my work commute lately, I got the itch and just picked up a little 250 Nighthawk a couple hours ago to putt back and forth to work with when the snow isn't flying. It's a 2002, but it only had a bit over 2300 miles when I rolled away on it. It'll only push 63-ish mph with my gorilla azz on it, but it purrs like a kitten humming along at 45-50.

I bet you’re gonna love it.

Still fun! I bet you’re gonna love it. It's a fun little thing so far. I had an old Honda 500 Ascot when I was in my late teens/early 20s, and this 250 rides very similarly, just without the zip the 500 had. Fairly comfortable, and handles pretty well. My last couple bikes had been bigger cruisers, so this thing feels a lot tighter cornering than what I had ridden last. I can't wait to see what the gas milage is after a trip or two back and forth to work. I'll be riding it in tomorrow.

My younger son had a Suzuki Boulevard S40, which was the updated version of the Suzuki Savage. A 650 single cylinder Sportster look alike. That was a fun bike. I darn near bought it from him when he went to sell it. It only had 3k miles.

I had a little orange Savage for a short time after the Ascot and before my first Shadow (had a 600VLX and 750 Spirit) It vibrated my hands to sleep really fast at highway speeds, but was great in town.

I don’t remember his vibrating like that. It wasn’t smooth by any means, but vibration didn’t seem to be a problem. It would only run about 80mph though, and it was screaming at that.

I have 3 a 82 Yamaha XS650, an 92 HD dyna with 124,000 mi on it and a new to me 1942 Indian Sport Scout flathead . Love those Triumphs had several of them when younger I would like to try a new Royal Enfield Interceptor. Riding has been central in my life style for 60 years, only one accident; in 1985 to many Quaalude's that night, been sober now since 1992 and still riding every day it aint snowing. The Harley still running fine no cam chain issues with an Evo. The Twin Cam engine lasts about 1/2 as long as an Evo.
