Thornton86,

The beautiful thing about the .270 is there really is not a "bad" load for deer if you use any 130 grain to 150 grain bullet. If you are going to shoot factory loads I would get several different brands and shoot them and hunt with the one the rifle likes the best.

If handloading I personally like the 130 grain and 150 grain Hornady Interlock.

Ive been using this one since about 1986 and found it to be extremely accurate and deadly:

130gr. Speer Grand Slam
54gr. WW 760
CCI 250 primer
R-P Cases

MV= 3050 in 22 in barrel.

for what its worth

Any good 130 grain bullet will probably work well with 55 gr. IMR4350 or H4350, 57 gr. IMR4831 or 60 gr. H4831. These are all pretty much max loads, so start lower and work up carefully.

Here is my standard load that has killed very dead many deer, many many hogs and one mule deer. grin

I've used it for the last decade because it works so well in my rifle I have seen no need to change.

140 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip
58 gr AA3100
R-P cases and CCI primers.

I'm an H4831 guy. 130s go up to 60 grains , 140's 59grains, 150, 57.5 grains and so on.

Usually use win brass and F210 primers

my std load is 1450 TSX with H4831 59 grains.
