Hey there, I know you said rider but maybe a pusher like this would be better suited to that rough back twenty?

If you decide to go with a zero turn mower for your purposes, 18k will get you a nice commercial model. I own and have purchased several Exmark Lazer Z mowers, all have been good. I recently purchased (for work) a Lazer Z x-series 60” deck with the Kawasaki FX921 engine, it’s a really high quality mower. $15k price range
Purchased a Scag Turf Tiger 61” a couple years ago, with the 35hp vanguard engine. Beast of a mower, very heavy built. Probably better for roughy, tall stuff than the exmark (which is better for quality turf lawns IMO)
Also have seen Hustler Super Z 60” and 72” mowers work well and provide 1000s of hours of good service.
Haven’t owned a John Deere ZTR, but hear they are good also.
Main thing with any of these is get the full commercial model, not the cheaper homeowner version. You get what you pay for. Also make sure you get the full suspension seat for a more comfortable ride.
If your ground is smooth enough and grass/weeds etc aren’t too tall to run a zero turn mower, it will hands down cover ground a lot faster than a tractor with any kind of mower of similar or slightly larger size. Compared to riding your old lawn tractor it will be a night an day increase in productivity
If you already have the JD 4410 why buy another machine -save a bundle of $$ and get a pto driven grooming mower to swap out with your rotary brush cutter.
A finish mower for a tractor will give a better cut than a bush hog. Bush hogs are good for rough mowing.
Copy, that….How would they do on 3”-4” around limbs and roots from stuff like Scotch Broom?

I heard, maybe from the Digital Dude in FL, that .........................................
napalm..............
will work on Scotch broom!
I’ve waded up some equipment lately. I just fixed my MX5 replacing both lifter arms after it grabbed a hidden stump and tore the hawger off the tractor. Shee-it!
Fûcked up my walk behind BillyGoat, twice now. It’s a nice piece of equipment that helped me clear trails and rip out brush in tight spots.
I’m not lying when I say in the last year, I’m getting a college level education on fixing equipment I’ve busted up.

Watch these built weekly.

I was going to go with one of these I decided a tractor the only reason is my buddy and I went in on a sawmill and we need something to move logs and I have a few projects coming up that I will need a backhoe on. Otherwise I would have went this route
